HICKSVILLE — Holy Trinity Diocesan High School will induct three new members into its Hall of Fame at the annual Triple A Gala on March 8 at the Inn at New Hyde Park.
The gala benefits the school’s academics, arts and athletics. The Msgr. John C. Seidenschwang Hall of Fame induction ceremony will start the evening’s festivities. This year’s honorees are Father John McCarthy, Michael Szlepcsik and Dominican Sister Carol Radosti.
After graduating from Holy Trinity in 1978, Father McCarthy served in the U.S. Navy. After he retired from the Navy in 1998, he entered formation for the priesthood and was ordained for the diocese of Rockville Centre in 2008. He served as an associate pastor at St. Agnes Cathedral until 2011, when he became the chaplain at Kings Bay Naval Base in Georgia.
Michael Szlepcsik graduated from Trinity in 1974 and continued his education at SUNY Farmingdale where he earned an associate’s degree in air conditioning technology and made his career in this field. He has been an active and dedicated member of the Holy Trinity Alumni Association.
In 1988, Sister Carol Radosti began her 22-year career at Holy Trinity as the associate chaplain and in 1990 added the role of director of recruitment to her responsibilities. While at Holy Trinity, she assisted in developing the retreat program and various service opportunities for students.
