BROOKLYN — St. Francis College management majors have again achieved top rankings in the international GLO-BUS management simulation competition, scoring a first-place finish and top five percent finish among almost 2,000 competitor teams from more than 100 colleges and universities.
The GLO-BUS competition asks groups of students to spend one semester managing a digital camera company over a simulated ten-year period. The teams are then ranked against competitor teams and schools. Students assume the roles of chief strategy and operational officers of their company, making a multitude of production, marketing and financial decisions. The competition is both with members of their class as well as teams around the world and measures key success metrics used in the business world.
In Professor Leonard Jordan’s class, Arizona Camera, composed of students Andrea Dolnay, Nemanja Simonovic and Nicole Carnavon, tied for first place in overall company performance.
In Dr. Vincent Lee’s class, Dynamic Images, composed of Christopher Golaszewski and Michael Rubino, ranked among the top five percent of college teams in stock price, earnings per share, and return on equity. Another St. Francis company, Elite Shot, managed by Theresa Bellamy and Alexandra Kelsch, also moved into the top tier with their results in return on equity.
