Nine men to be ordained to diocesan priesthood June 14  

On June 14, Bishop William Murphy will ordain nine new priests for the Diocese of Rockville Centre, the largest group since he was named bishop in 2001. In fact, this class is tied for the largest class to be ordained for the diocese in the past 20 years. There were also nine in 1991.
Knights of Columbus help seminarians and novices
The St. Therese the Little Flower Council 2622 Knights of Columbus of Valley Stream recently continued their tradition of supporting religious vocations by giving educational grants to two diocesan seminarians and two novices for the Little Sisters of the Poor.

Nationally, trend toward more foreign-born priests
