St. Patrick’s celebrates anniversary and new pastor
TLIC photos/Gregory A. Shemitz

St. Patrick Church in Bay Shore kicked off its yearlong 125th anniversary celebration with a special Mass May 4 in the parish’s Msgr. Purick Hall. Retired Auxiliary Bishop Emil Wcela was the presider and homilist at the service. During the Mass, Bishop Wcela installed Father Thomas Coogan as St. Patrick’s 13th pastor. Father Coogan previously served as the diocese’s vocations director.
