McGann-Mercy students win physical education award

Victoria Tremble and Keith Schroeher, both seniors at McGann-Mercy High School in Riverhead, were presented with the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance – Suffolk Zone Award at a ceremony held on Dec. 7, 2011. Criteria for this award include demonstrated achievement in academics and physical education, outstanding character, school-wide leadership and serving as a role model for “living a healthy lifestyle” inside the school as well as in the community.
