Friends of Mercy name new president

Christopher J. Kearns, right, has been installed as the 2012 president of The Friends of Mercy Medical Center. The long-time Rockville Centre resident accepted a small bust of Theodore Roosevelt that signifies leadership of the organization from outgoing president, Dr. Dan Murphy. Kearns, an executive director at Capstone Advisory Group, LLC, has been a member of The Friends of Mercy since 2005, was nominated to the executive board in 2008, served on numerous committees, and chaired The Mercy Ball in 2010. The Friends of Mercy was founded in 1935 as an organization of men dedicated to volunteering their efforts to raise funds for the advancement of medical and surgical care for the patients of Mercy Medical Center.
