Shared devotion to Blessed Mother brings parishioners closer
By Mary Iapalucci Staff Reporter |
Bohemia — While some prayed in English and others in Spanish, there was nothing lost in translation as parishioners of St. John Nepomucene Church here shared their devotion to the Blessed Mother at a bilingual Mass celebrated on Dec. 8.

By Mary Iapalucci Staff Reporter |
Kings Park — Msgr. Alex Manly can’t say exactly why he wanted to be a priest but knows that the answer lies in his home on the south side of Dublin, Ireland, in the first half of the 20th century.

Manly said. “A Passionist priest used to bring Communion every week to my sister, Maureen, who had polio. She used to do fundraising for the missions from her sick bed.”Full
