Bishop Murphy to join “Stand Up For Life”
vigil
|
|
Bishop William Murphy will take part in the 10th annual
“Stand Up For Life” vigil to be held this Sunday, October 7,
from 2-3:30 p.m. in Huntington Station. Participants,
expected to number more than 1,000, will line the sidewalks
east and south of the intersection of Route 110 and Jericho
Turnpike in a peaceful public witness to “the sacredness of
human life, especially the lives of vulnerable pre-born
babies.” |
A second vigil will be held at the same time in eastern
Suffolk, at the intersection of County Road 111 and Exit 70
of the Long Island Expressway in Manorville. These two local
events are among more than 1,200 similar vigils scheduled
across the country on Respect Life Sunday.
